VerticalResponse Email Marketing is an email marketing software service that lets user do email promotions and newsletters. VerticalResponse Email Marketing is run by VerticalResponse Inc. The service will provide solutions for user to create email messages, build and manage list, and track the results for improving future campaigns.

VerticalResponse Email Marketing has main features: Email Creation, List Building & Management Tools, List Segmentation, Tracking & Reporting and Email Deployment & Delivery feature.
Email Creation Highlight Features:
- Email Wizard – Lets user create a professional-looking email newsletter in minutes using industry-themed and seasonal borders.
- Email Canvas – Allows user to design their email newsletter using the email marketing templates, and an easy-to-use HTML editor similar to MS Word.
- Freeform HTML – User can simply paste in their pre-built HTML and they are done.
- Text-Only – If images, colors and formatting are not for user, they can just enter in plain text to create their email newsletter.
- Stock Images – Provides 75,000 stock images for user to use in their email newsletters.
- Forward to a Friend – Let user’s customers spread the message like wildfire.
- Free Image Hosting – User can store up to 25Mb of images in the Media Library.
- Hosted Emails – Lets user add a link to their email so recipients can view the email newsletter online.

List Building & Management Tools Highlight Features:
- List Building – User can collect what you want to know like name, email, address, and add custom fields such as shoe size or age.
- Widget for TypePad – Lets user grow their list from your Blog by integrating their form as a VerticalResponse Widget.
- Double Opt-in Support – Lets user build a clean list using double opt-in. New list members get a customizable welcome message asking them to confirm registration.
- Data Cleanse – De-duplicates and cleans user’s list so they never email someone twice in the same email campaign, or pay for sending out bad email addresses.
- Unsubscribes Processing – Every email newsletter sent through the system will have unsubscribe instructions and link at the footer of each message. VerticalResponse processes all of the unsubscribes so user will not send unwanted email newsletter to their recipients.
- Autoresponder – Lets user create follow up campaign lists automatically, based on response type – to encourage people who have opened or clicked, or prod non-responders!
- Manual Management – User can manage records manually – add new records, preview their list or search for data from within VerticalResponse.
- Data Protection – VerticalResponse’s physical database servers are locked in a secure facility and are monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Secondly, all VerticalResponse servers are protected by secure firewall systems from the industry leader, Cisco Systems.
- Opt Out-Form Generator – User just copy and paste a few lines of code into their web site and their opt-out form instantly appears.
List Segmentation Highlight Features:
- Custom Fields – Lets user create target audiences based on standard and custom fields within their lists. This will improve response rates when they dazzle their customers with messages specific to their interests and actions.
- Grouping – Allows user to group responders (clickers, openers) and non-responders (didn’t click or open) across multiple campaigns.
- User can easily suppress list members and campaign recipients from new segments they build.
- List Division – User can divide their segmentation results into multiple mailing lists. This allows user to test offers, subject lines or even content to see which performs best before mailing to their entire audience.
- User can continue to expand or restrict the size of their mailing lists when they use advanced list segmentation.

- Overall Performance – User can view the totals and percentages for Opens, Clicks, Bounces and Unsubscribes, as well as Forwards, Conversions, Sales and Non-Responders of their email marketing messages.

- Recent Email Newsletter Comparisons – Lets user quickly and easily compare the performance of their email newsletter to other recently sent email campaigns. Easily identify interesting trends in their campaigns and then make changes to increase their response rates.
- Printable Dashboard – User can print a summary of their response data to share with co-workers, colleagues or clients.
- Click-Through Performance – User can view the total number of clicks and click-through percentage for all links within their email marketing message.
- Compare Campaigns – Allows user to select up to 5 sent email campaigns from any time period and evaluate the performance.
- Domain Tracking – User can view statistics on the top 100 domains (aol.com, yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc) that they emailed to including Sent, Opens, Clicks, Bounces, and Unsubscribes.
- Download Center – User can get access to the specific email addresses that opened and clicked, bounced or unsubscribed. Instantly create a new mailing list from their responders and non-responders or export their bounces and unsubscribes into a CSV or TXT file so you can update another list.
- Click to Conversion Tracking – User can tie page visits on their site back to email recipients from their mailing list. User simply add the tracking code to any page on their site (purchase confirmation page, etc) and they will get the report within thei VerticalResponse account.
- Return on Investment (ROI) Tracking – Let user quickly view their ROI by comparing the cost of their email marketing campaign to the sales they received as a result.
- Google Analytics Integration – User can now activate Google Analytics for email marketing campaigns, right from within their account.
Email Deployment & Delivery Highlight Features:
- VerticalResponse Email Marketing follows the Anti-Spam rule, handles the automate bounce / unsubscribe processing, uses feedback loops to improve deliver and Authentication Protocols: SPF (Sender Policy Framework), Sender-ID, DomainKeys and DKIM.

We have used VerticalResponse for our Christmas cards for the past several years. It was easy to design the cards, must less expensive than traditional cards, and we knew who received and opened our card. Our friends and family thought it was great too, another tree saved!

So easy to use! friendly knowledgable support folks and easy to get in touch with. I was very surprised at how inexpensive it is and the option to “pay as you go” is great. plus deliverability rates are phenomonal. I almost could not believe the friendliness toward non profit orgs as well. A very well run and thoughtful company. Bravo!

By using VerticalResponse with our opt-in list, we create professional email marketing campaigns that inform, educate and motivate our clients to take action. For example, we used VerticalResponse to send an email campaign to rally our clients to vote for our company in a San Francisco “Best of” contest. Our campaign delivered double digit open and click rates and allowed us to finish a VERY close 2nd place to a much larger competitor! Proof that email marketing truly works!

VerticalResponse email proivder is simply the best. I publish a quarterly newsletter for a non-profit organization with a mailing list of around 500. We have no funding and we run on a strictly volunteer basis, and VerticalResponse provides this service for no charge to us. They have been wonderful in their technical support and treat us just like a paying customer. They truly practice goodwill and value what non-profit organizations do for all of us. If I ever have the opportunity to need their services, or know of anyone who does, they will get my recommendation without hesitation.

Simply the best for so many reasons. Ideas and helpful hints which are thought through and not just there to fill space. Newsletter always has something which can be used right then.
