Automatics update is most convenience way for updating. Almost all antivirus software has automatics update feature which mean it will automatically update when new update is available (your computer have to has internet connection). It is done automatically without any user action. New update can be available in two or four hours or daily basic based on the company which provides the software. Automatically update is recommended if you have internet connection.
2. Update by Downloading Update File
For users or computers which have no internet connection they can update antivirus software by using downloaded update file. Most antivirus companies (such as AVG, Avast!, Kaspersky, McAfee, F-Secure, Panda, Sophos, Bitdefender) but not all of them provides update file on daily basis at its official website for user to download. Update file is available in two form zip file and self-extractor for some companies.
One question which many users (who do not have internet connection) ask is that “I don’t have internet connection, so how can I get update file?” The answer is that you can get it from someone you know and he had downloaded it.
