I have used Taxtron software for several years. For 2009 a complete new, more sophisticated system had been developed. Unfortunately it has not been sufficiently debugged and I do not have sufficient confidence to use it for my Income Tax Return. The concept looks good but in my opinion it was marketed too soon. 20 votes

I shut down all programs, installed TaxTron and at initial startup it give the message -
“TaxTron has encountered a problem and needs to close”.
It never did run and I deleted it.

Very very frustrating. That the CRA has such limited choice available to the Canadian public is shocking. The program I used last year was much simpler and user friendly. I paid $40 for TaxTron and have had nothing but trouble. I feel it’s designed for professionals, not average citizens. I wish I had sent out tax returns to H&R Block.
