On Windows 7 it installed flawlessly but on my Vista laptop the network driver would not load whenever Windows started. I fixed that by removing the firewall completely then re-installing it in Safe Mode - job done. It's an excellent firewall, the best I've ever used, and believe me I've tried them all over the past ten years (including older versions of Outpost), and the included malware scanner is a welcome bonus. It loads quickly, even on my 2GB RAM Vista laptop, which indicates that it's not resource-hungry, and I can highly recommend it. I had previously tried to "make do" with the built-in firewall to avoid having to install a third-party one, but it just doesn't give sufficient feedback about connection requests, and that's basically the essence of a good firewall.
