Please avoid this company. I evaluated 5.0 and had issues with system handing up. I was promised a pre-relase version of 5.5 because the engine that skips files in use was now working (it was supposed to be in 5.0).

I bought 5.0 and installed upgrade for 5.5. I was not concerned id the bug was fixed since they offer a 30 day money back quarantee.

I ran 5.5 and it did skip files, first backup took 23 hours for 300GB to USB drive. Handy Backup took 5 hours for first backup.

I have setup to run every night. Next morning it was only 20% done. It was backing up everything again. There is not an incremental backup option for transferring files so I can retore using windows explorer and not their software.

I was also frustrated their full image backup and file-by-file backup (not the one where files can be restored via windows explorer) only had options to make several files of 2GB each. Heck for me that would be 150 files for the backup. Not accpetable for me.

I unistalled the software and requested the refund. First they deineid because they couldn't find I bought it from them. I forwarded over proof and now they deny refund because I evaluated it first and therefore am not entitled to a refund.

I did not even evaluate 5.5 but that is not the point, they offer a 30 day refund policy and did not stick to it.

IMO this company is very unethical and should be avoided. Plus the software is not relaly functional for my needs. PLEASE take a look someone else, Handy Backup works great.
