I too made the mistake of not searching this product before buying. I read the top ten reviews deal and bit, purchased the app for $50 and it found 200MB off of my 300GB formatted drive. No help at all, terrible app. I then downloaded a trial of another product and it is doing a super thorough scan of all the sectors of the HDD, which Digital Rescue did not do. Digital Rescue finished scanning in seconds. Do not purchase.!!!!

My experience is the same as the first 3. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Tried to contact their tech support via their web site (the only way to put in a trouble ticket) and nothing, just like the software. Wish I would have read these reviews before I bought it. What a rip off. ZERO RECOMMENDATION

What a rip off !!!!

I bought this software after I read about it in Top Ten Reviews and i should tell you I have never been conned like this before. What a waste of money, time, and effort!
I am still shocked !

Digital Rescue Premium looks like it was made in 1995. I bought it for $ 49,99 because i had a HDD with bad sectors, not formatted like the two other guys who reviewed this software. The hard disk still logs in to windows and not entirely damaged. Out of 101 GB of data, this piece of crap found 82 MB only!! Not just that, most of them are temporary files. You cannot choose which folders you want to recover. You have to go through a list of thousands of very tiny files that can be recovered and select what files you need. When you choose to recover all the files found, this piece of crap does not reproduce the folder structure. Rather, it tries to save everything in the same folder and you are stuck with thousands of messages saying that a file with the same name is already there and if you want to overwrite it!!

Unless you intentionally want to waste money, stay away from this software. Top Ten Reviews, shame on you for suggesting that this is the best hard disk recovery program, really shame on you!

I agree. I purchased this software thinking it would recover files from a formatted drive. I have so far seen nothing of the sort. Multiple review sites rank this as top recovery software, but apparently no one cares to mention that it will not recover reformatted drive contents (which it seems to me would be the most common reason someone would need recovery software). I can appreciate that this will recover "lost" (deleted) files very well, but seriously what average person appreciates the difference between "lost" (deleted) and "lost" (reformatted) files, etc. to know that this is not the right software? I apparently did not.
