FreeTaxUSA has been doing my taxes for two years now. Before that I used TurboTax. Within a few screens I came to realize the two sites were very close to the same. Easy questions, automatic forms, and e-file.
As a sole proprietor I needed a Schedule C prepared. TurboTax wanted to charge me close to $100 for the same thing FreeTaxUSA only charged $9.95.
I thought for sure there would be a big difference in the amount of taxes I would have to pay. I did my taxes side by side between the two websites. FreeTaxUSA was the winner. I paid $200 less tax and I saved $100 by switching. I’m very happy with FreeTaxUSA’s service and I have recommended them to everyone I know.

These people are scammers! I want my money back and they are refusing to give it back! What kind of business doesn’t have a phone number! My advice to people is to stay away from freetaxusa.com!

Jeremy – How is FreeTaxUSA a scam? Please provide accurate data with your comments. I have used FreeTaxUSA for 4 years and have had no ’scams’.

I have Used FreeTaxUSA for 4 years and all has always gone very well. I compared it to TurboTax twice and received almost the same return. However, FreTaxUsa charges less than $10 and makes you same much more.

How long does it take to receive your refund if you set up e-file and direct deposit. So far, I have not had any problems.

I have used Free Tax USA for several years now and they are GREAT! My info transfers from one year to another and to file a state return only costs $9.95 – schedule C or NOT! Shame on those companies who charge $100 or more extra just because you’re a business owner!

I have used FreeTaxUSA for several years with no problems. I compare the results to TurboTax and the results are the same.
But, TurboTax is more expensive.

I used it once with a friend and by myself the second time. did I mention the fact [by myself]!
Also saved myself over $800.00 rather than trust a total stranger .If you recall they also use a computer program.s
