PowerDirector Review
PowerDirector is one of popular video editing software packages on the market today. PowerDirector developed by CyberLink Corp. The program provides users a full solution for video creating, editing and sharing. With the software, you can import various file formats for editing such as AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MOV (H.264), HD MPEG-2, DVR-MS, DV-AVI, DAT, VOB, DVR-MS, MOV, WMV, WMV-HD, MP4 , MOD, TOD, AVCHD (M2T) and several more. PowerDirector use 16 track timeline with cut, copy and pasting features.
Reverse videos, crop videos, rotate videos and uploading videos directly to Facebook is simple. The software has more than 70 video effects, adjustable key frames, and support for multiple effects onscreen. You can find thousand of effects at DirectorZone, those effects and templates are free and uploaded by PowerDirector users.
There are two version of PowerDirector: Ultra and Deluxe editions. Ultra is bigger package which has more features and expensive. The trial version is available to download and try for 30 day. There are several limitations during evaluation period such as limiting in DVD menu templates, title templates, Magic Movie styles, slideshow styles and advanced photo editing feature is disabled.

I got this as part of a new HP PC and it, so far, is the easiest and most intuitive video basic editing software I’ve ever used. I haven’t downloaded the Ultra (for AVCHD cams) yet, but if it’s as easy as the standard version, and behaves properly, I’m buying it.
