2. Organic Foods

Organic foods are foods that preserve the nutrients and are devoid of chemicals. They keep our bloodstream and digestive system clean and free from chemicals and parasites. On the other hands, eating the fruits and vegetables that are grown with fertilizers and chemical agents will bring chemicals and parasites to our bloodstream and they also hinder our digestive system and waste removal process.

3. Right Nutrients

Mono saturated fats, complex carbohydrates and fiber are good for maintenance of healthy colon. Here is how you find these nutrients in your foods.

  • Avocado oil and olive oil are good sources of mono saturated fats.
  • Vegetables and green/leafy vegetables are good sources of complex carbohydrates.
  • Soluble fiber can find in quinoa, brown rice, nuts and seeds, fruits and vegetable skins. Insoluble fiber can find in rye, barley, potatoes, lentils, and chickpeas. Note: Our body needs a minimum of 25 to 30 grams of fiber per day.

4. Fermented Foods

Colonic health becomes worse because of the imbalance of healthy bacteria that are present in our body. This problem causes by our faulty lifestyle. To undo the damage, and promote the growth of good bacteria, we need to consume fermented foods such as: yogurt, yeast, miso (fermented soy paste) and sauerkraut (chopped cabbage which has been salted and allowed to ferment until sour).

The above foods will improve your colonic health. For better result, you might use these foods in combination with herbal colon cleanse supplements.
