I’ve been using ACEHtml for many years. It feels like an old friend now, or an old huntin’ dog that you still love, even if his best huntin’ days are over. No other code editor ever came within a mile of ACE, not even close. It hasn’t really changed much over the past decade; basically for HTML coders it doesn’t get much better: Full right click tag editing, probably the very best frames and table wizards I have ever come across, possibly even better than Dreamweaver’s; good internal preview (make sure you uncheck “full refresh of browser” in preferences to return to the same spot in a long web page when refreshing); it has a great file browser where you can actually preview webpages before opening them, same with the image browser; a full PHP, SQL, and javascript library in the paid version; PHP parser to preview scripts (unfortunately not in local host, so you have to preview in a browser to execute a dynamic script);.tons of free DHTML and Javascripts.
With all their great features I wish they would have upgraded it more with a WYSIWYG option
and more extras and given Dreamweaver a run for their money. They sure made a great start, and with the paid version they had some beautiful templates, if only they would have kept developing it, if only.

I need to make a correction to my previous post about ACEHtml. They do have local host preview with their internal browser for PHP scripts, what I meant to say was that it previews as a temp file in their browser, so you have to go to an external browser and preview it in http://localhost/Foldername/Filename.php to execute a dynamic script for sending information from one page to another.
In all other respects, ACE is still tops as a webcoder, sorry for the misinformation,
James
